About US
Established in 1983
Spring Fever Kennel is located in Lehi, Utah, approximately 20 minutes south of Salt Lake City. It is exclusively owned and operated by Canby and Sherrie Scott and Katelyn and Phillip Peart.
We firmly believe that an Aussie should be the extension of the "good old family dog." Temperament is our number one priority, if you can't live with the dog, titles and beauty are worthless. We have proven that an Aussie can be versatile and we have personally put WTCH's on five Conformation Champions.
Our kennel, to date, has one Supreme Versatility, two Versatility Champions, five Working Trial Champions, one ATCH, one OTCH, 78 Conformation Champions, five UD, 15 CDX, multiple STD, OTD, ATD, and agility titles. We have had our dogs involved in therapy work and several search and rescue programs. A dog that can do it all is really out there!
Who is Spring Fever?
Canby was raised on a dairy farm in Provo, Utah. He has a Master Degree in Animal Science and taught science at Lehi Junior High School for 25 years. He is an ASCA approved Stock Dog and Senior Breeder Conformation Judge. His primary interest with the dogs is herding, but is supportive of conformation shows.
Sherrie grew up showing Quarter Horses before they were “specialized” and has taken that love of the "all around animal" into the dogs. She has a Bachelor Degree in Dance and Health and taught Physical Education and Dance at American Fork Junior High School for 37 years. She primarily competes in conformation, but also enjoys starting the young dogs on stock. Sherrie is a Senior Breeder Conformation Judge, and she and Canby enjoy being able to travel together as judges.
Katelyn (Scott) Peart was a very competitive junior handler. She achieved many records and national wins during her time as a junior. She continues to show in the conformation ring with many different breeds, but enjoys showing the dogs she has bred and raised along with her family the most. Katelyn graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. She runs her own groom shop and teaches handling lessons.
Phillip Peart joined the family August 7, 2015. His family runs Hat Ranch Show Cattle in Randolph, Utah. He works as an independent contractor at a beef plant where he collects data for various studies, and he is also working on a Bachelor Degree in Finance. Phillip brings his knowledge of structure and breeding to Spring Fever and has stepped right in. He understands the animals and has been a great addition to our family.
